Daily Cleansing is Vital to Your Lash Health

Hey babes! If you're like me, you love the look of lush, fluffy lashes - and lash extensions are the perfect solution for achieving that glam, eye-catching look. As much as we love our lash extensions, it's important to take good care of them to keep them healthy and prevent eye problems like blepharitis.

Blepharitis is an inflammation of the eyelid that can cause redness, dryness, and irritation, and it's often caused by a buildup of oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells around the base of the lashes. Gross, right? Don't worry though- with a few simple steps, you can keep your lash extensions clean and healthy, and prevent any potential eye problems.

The most important thing you can do to keep your lash extensions in tip-top shape is to clean them regularly. I know, I know - it's a pain, but trust me, it's worth it! Use a gentle lash cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup residue from your lashes, and be sure to avoid rubbing or touching your eyes to prevent the spread of bacteria. It's also a good idea to avoid using heavy eye makeup, like waterproof mascara, which can be difficult to remove and can cause buildup around your lash extensions.

Now, let's talk about some common eye problems that can arise if you don't keep your lash extensions clean. Blepharitis, as I mentioned earlier, is a potential risk, and it's not something you want to mess around with. If left untreated, it can lead to other eye problems like styes and conjunctivitis. Yikes! If there is excessive build up in the lash line your follicles will be blocked preventing new growth which will lead to gaps and we don't want that. With regular cleaning and good hygiene practices, you can avoid these problems and keep your eyes looking and feeling great.

So, to sum it up: keep those lashes clean, babes! Use a gentle cleanser, avoid touching or rubbing your eyes, and be mindful of the makeup products you're using. With a little bit of effort, you can keep your lash extensions looking fluffy and healthy, and avoid any potential eye problems. Stay gorgeous!
